9 How was your experience in having two championships that used to cannibalize each other? “There were many contrasts between the two promoters, which are actually inevitable when there is competition. They both fought to prevail and there was no collaboration. I think that unification will only bring benefits. The two paddocks required something similar in order to provide drivers with a logic path for growth. Now everything is clear." Which kind of reaction did you get? "The teams of the two categories are delighted that there is finally a single leading championship in Europe. ACI and Renault are working well together, the intentions are similar. Among other things, Renault is celebrating 50 years of commitment to motorsport and we can only have respect for them". How will Tatuus be involved in the operation? “As a Group, we are losing the supply of engines to what was once Formula Regional European. It is certainly a disappointment because it was an extraordinary project, but overall, as I said, it could not have been otherwise and obviously, we will be involved as the car supplier." It was announced that W Series will be back for 2021. Is this a good signal for you? “It is great, and we are very happy about it. The W Series proved itself as a highly‐professional category, managed by people of considerable competence and quality. Due to the pandemic, they chose not to start the 2020 season, but there was a clear intention to resume activity. They were determined to carry the project forward despite the many challenges, and they eventually succeeded. The W Series will race together with Formula 1 and this is nothing short of sensational. We cannot be credited with this, but I cannot hide that seeing our cars and engines engage in an F1 World Championship weekend has always been very exciting ”.
