Hamda Al Qubaisi secured a great third place in race 1 at Misano, becoming the first woman racer to stand on the podium of the series. On the other hand, Maya Weug is doing well in her maiden season in single‐seaters. "Hamda Al Qubaisi now has a good amount of experience in the series and is very mature. She worked hard during the past few seasons, growing up quite a lot, and she is finally being rewarded for her efforts. I hope that the brilliant overall podium in Misano will provide her with greater self‐awareness and confidence because she proved she has all the credentials to fight at the front. Maya Weug has fewer kilometres under her belt in single‐seaters, but she is coming from a brilliant career in international karting with important results. I am sure that she will reach the top positions soon. I'd be happy to see some other women in the series and I'm noticing that even in karting, more and more women are starting to compete".
