28 The British series boasts an excellent lineup made of many young drivers with promising futures and a varied mix of experienced teams and new up‐and‐coming operations. With some big news coming in terms of the format by Jacopo Rubino T he BRDC British Formula 3 Championship continues to show excellent form, and it's getting better and better over the years. The proof is in the 19‐strong line‐up of the 2021 season start at Brands Hatch, the highest car count for an opening round of the series, since its start by MotorSport Vision in 2016. However, the championship, which is running Mountune‐powered Tatuus BF3‐020 cars, does not only offer quantity, but also high quality, with young drivers totalling 25 karting titles, plus many wins in F4 and other car championships. Home of outstanding prospects Carlin, the most titled team in the championship, focused on rookies Zak O'Sullivan and Christian Mansell, and Oliver Bearman is another rookie to keep an eye on. The Brit, driving for Fortec, will run part‐time due to his commitments in the Italian and German F4 championships, both with Tatuus machinery. Dexter Patterson is racing for Douglas Motorsport the karting star being part of the Sauber F1 junior program. Ayrton Simmons, campaigned by Chris Dittmann Racing team, experienced a flying start by winning race 1 at Brands Hatch, leveraging his experience. The same goes for Reece Ushijima and Bart Horsten who are driving for Hitech. The 2021 line‐up also includes a woman, Saudi Reema Juffali, who is taking a pivotal step in her sporting career. She will try to follow the footsteps of Jamie Chadwick, who ran in the BRDC British Formula 3 in 2017 and 2018 with one win before becoming the inaugural W Series champion.
