34 IndyPro Chasing the Dane Danish driver Christian Rasmussen had an impressive run so far in the 2021 Indy Pro 2000 Championship, but with four rounds to go, including an oval, the chase is on with American Braden Eves as the closest contender in second place by Marco Cortesi C oming from a successful 2020 season, Danish racer Christian Rasmussen is the leading contender for the 2021 Indy Pro 2000 title. A 20‐year‐old from Copenhagen, Rasmussen is the reigning USF2000 champion but was unfazed by the rookie status. Following a promising debut in Barber, Alabama, he put his foot down at St. Petersburg with a second place and a win, getting four more victories afterwards. The Jay Howard Driver Development driver took the gold in every single location that the series visited since round 2, including Lucas Oil Speedway in Indianapolis. At Road America, he recovered from multi‐car contact in race 1 to win race 2, adding more weight to his title ambitions. His closest contender is Braden Eves. The Exclusive Autosport driver is in his second season after a scary crash curtailed his 2020 run. After taking victory in the opening race of the year, he repeated himself in St.Pete and, except for race 2 in Florida, he never finished outside the top‐5 so far.
