There is plenty of time to recover for him, although he has Artem Petrov pushing right behind. The Russian got one win at Indy and clearly showed potential, joined in the roster of the 2021 race winners by Kiwi Hunter McElrea and Manuel Sulaiman. The Mexican had a troubled start in Barber when he was disqualified for a technical infringement but steadily bounced back to take victory in race 2 at Road America. Several drivers interrupted their season despite lining up at the start of the opening event with the Tatuus PM‐18 cars. British driver Enaam Ahmed, a former FIA Formula 3 entry, had to withdraw after the round on the Indy road course. The same goes for Colin Kaminsky, who finished third in the 2019 USF2000 series. After struggling in the opening races at Barber, Brazilian Enzo Fittipaldi did not race in St.Pete following a qualifying crash and went back to Europe. At the front though, the series' competitive level is not affected, as teams and drivers brace for a hard fight into the final part of the year. Christian Rasmussen Braden Eves
