Following its successful run as a karting promoter, WSK was the first organization to start a Formula 4 championship by launching the Italian F4 series in 2014. Eight seasons later, it has become an almost mandatory step towards Formula 1 and professional motorsports. The Italian championship is still a benchmark and is now set to field the second‐generation Tatuus cars, now with the halo device 9 by Mattia Tremolada Luca De Donno, are you ready to welcome the second‐ gen Formula 4 car? "It is known that the Italian series was one of the first to show interest in the second‐generation car. We are discussing this aspect with the federation, which will then take the final decision, whether to introduce it as early as 2022. We will open a tender between the different suppliers, but I hope that the current Tatuus‐Autotecnica Motori technical package will be confirmed as I believe it's the best on the market. It is now eight years that our championship has featured the Tatuus F4 machinery, I think it is time for an upgrade. We know that there will be significant improvements in terms of driver safety, with the introduction of the halo system".
