Wurz tops all‐PREMA podium As the lights went off at the start, Wurz got by Antonelli and sailed to the first overall win of his career. The son of former F1 racer Alex Wurz has a limited single‐seater experience, having run only in two Italian F4 events at Vallelunga and Spielberg, but experienced a solid test program. Antonelli was forced to fight back by contact with Van’t Hoff in turn 6, with the two cars tangling in the braking area. The Italian managed to save himself after a high‐speed 360‐degree spin, while Van’t Hoff was forced to retire. A DNF also came for his MP Motorsport teammate Rik Koen. The Dutchman retired on lap 1. First, he made contact with Al Qubaisi in turn 9. The female racer ended up against Miron Pingasov who suffered a broken front wing. Then came a second incident for Koen, this time with Aidan Neate, and the stewards decided to disqualify him for that contact. Laursen was impressive as well with P2 and, in the end, PREMA welcomed the new Tatuus T‐421 racecar with a podium lockout, improving from the 1‐2 it secured at the debut of the previous generation in 2014. The team’s fourth car recovered to the 6th position with Al Qubaisi fighting back from the earlier contact. The top‐5 was rounded out by Vladislav Ryabov and Jamie Day, with the Russian recovering from last on the grid. Last but not least, Neate and Pingasov completed the running order.
