20 Tramnitz makes an impression Despite running in two events less than his contenders, Tim Tramnitz secured the vice‐champion honors, the same results he got in the ADAC F4 championship. The German driver, fielded by US Racing, had scored two wins in the opening round at Le Castellet, but then prioritized the German championship, missing the events at Misano and Imola. Tramnitz got two more wins at Spielberg. and despite he could not reach the podium at Mugello and Monza, he got the nod on Kirill Smal, Sebastian Montoya, and Leonardo Fornaroli, who battled for the third spot until late in the season. The latter, who took one win at Misano, was Bearman's main competitor for the whole season but was put out of contention by a freak accident at Monza when his fire extinguisher activated and obscured his vision. Fornaroli made contact with the barriers, and a resulting hand bruise forced him to sit out of the rest of the weekend. Montoya seemed set to wrap up P3, but he spun while warming up his tires, and Smal, who had won the opening race of the year, eventually clinched the third position. Bedrin takes the rookie crown Nikita Bedrin and Conrad Laursen diced for the rookie title for the whole season, and it was the Russian, who prevailed eventually. As a consequence, Van Amersfoort Racing delivered a hat‐trick with overall, rookie, and team titles. Lorenzo Patrese scored third place with three class wins and three overall poles at Monza, while rookie honors also went to Francesco Braschi and Leonardo Bizzotto. Maya Weug won the female trophy beating Hamda Al Qubaisi, but the Emirati racer became the first woman to claim an overall podium finish at Misano. Weug also left the opening event at Le Castellet in the lead of the rookie championship with three podiums, but could not keep the same pace in the second half of the season, dropping back to P7.
