34 The collaboration between Tatuus and MSV that started with BRDC British F3, will enter a new phase with the next‐gen car, the MSV‐022. This car will be a step forward for GB3. The monocoque will feature upgraded safety standards, starting from the addition of the Halo system. Side impact protections will be more robust, as for the rollbar and the front anti‐intrusion panels. The increase in weight (12 kilograms) due to the Halo addition will be balanced by better aero downforce thanks to the new bottom, sidepods, and engine cover. Power will be increased to 250 horsepower, coming from a 2‐liter engine prepared by Mountune with a left‐side air intake. This detail will make the MSV‐022 unique in the current panorama. Techincal evolution went hand in hand with sustainability for the teams. The wings, Sadev gearbox, suspension, brakes, and electronics will be the same as the previous models. The deliveries of the upgrade packages have already started, and two kits will be available to all teams before Christmas. “We are delighted to continue our partnership with Tatuus. Gianfranco De Bellis and his group did an amazing job since we started collaborating, and they once again delivered an exceptional package, which meets the current standards while providing the reliability and balance that made the series so popular” said former F1 driver Jonathan Palmer, who heads up MSV. .
