F3 Asia is becoming Formula Regional Asian Championship for the 2022 season, following the plan set by the FIA for the identity of the junior single‐seater championships. The series will continue to operate on the pillars set in the four previous seasons by the promoter, Top Speed, led by Italian manager Davide De Gobbi. We sat down with him to draw an early balance. The 2022 championship will start from January 20th to 22nd and will feature five races on consecutive weekends between Abu Dhabi and Dubai, the same format that had proven so successful in 2021. And record grids are expected once again. We must now refer to the series you promote as the Formula Regional Asian Championship. Why the naming change? "We adapted the naming to the FIA directives. It was an expected step, physiological we can say, even though the timing moved forward by a year. But it's not a problem. New name, same strengths
