The series is preparing for its final run of the year with only three races, all of them in Portland, still on the calendar. Myles Rowe is leading the Championship. The 22‐year‐old African American, with Pabst teammate Jace Denmark, put up a season‐long, three‐way fight with Michael d'Orlando. It will be a three‐way sprint to the finish. Rowe has a 22‐point lead (90 are still available) over d'Orlando, while Denmark sits in P3, one point behind. Rowe has scored five wins, two more than his direct competitors, and there has been no shortage of tense moments, with several contacts involving Rowe and d'Orlando in Indianapolis and in Race 2 in Toronto. D'Orlando, the 2021 runner‐up, established himself as an oval specialist, winning the Freedom 75 for the second year in a row, the only oval event of the season.
