21 safety car was deployed. The neutralization lasted six laps and when racing resumed, Lloyd increased his leading margin, while Xie defended second place from Huang, Look and Engstler. On lap 8, Engstler overtook Look for P4, while Huang spun, dropping from third to eighth. After a brief fight, Engstler passed Xie to move into P2 and then tried to close the gap to Lloyd, but the latter had already built a huge margin, while Xie and Look continued cruising in third and fourth positions. During the final laps Huang was able to pass both Alex Liu and James Wong to finish sixth behind Zhang and so secured the TCR China title.
