TCR World and life

10 WTCR 2018 champion Gabriele Tarquini returned to victory after a one-year drought. The Italian veteran recovered from two unlucky races in Germany and Portugal to claim an authoritative win in the first race at MotorLand Aragón in his Hyundai run by the BRC Squadra Corse (right). Attila Tassi scored his maiden WTCR success in Estoril’s Race 2 (below); the Hungarian youngster inherited the lead when his teammate Monteiro had to pit to secure a loose bonnet, and beat Hyundai drivers Vernay, Norbert Michelisz and Tarquini. Another notable first came in the second Spanish race, when Frédéric Vervisch converted his pole position into victory at the wheel of the new-generation Audi RS 3 LMS TCR (above). The Belgian’s success was completed by the third position of his young teammate and compatriot Gilles Magnus who provided the icing on the cake for Comtoyou Racing.
