22 RUSSIA SECOND PLACE IN RACE 2 HELPS KIRILL LADYGIN TO RETAIN A HEALTHY LEAD IN THE STANDINGS KalmanovichandBraginwinattheN-Ring In TCR Russia's second race meeting at the N-Ring, Pavel Kalmanovich scored his first win in the series, while former champion Dmitry Bragin returned to the winner’s circle ten months after his last victory at the same circuit. Kalmanovich drove his AG Team-run CUPRA to a lights-to-flag win in Race 1, starting from pole position (below). Behind him Grigory Burlutskiy and Egor Orudzhev cruised home in second and third positions until the end of the race, while Bragin overtook the reigning champion Kirill Ladygin to finish fifth. The draw for the Race 2 grid put Bragin on pole position and the TAIF Motorsport driver did not waste the opportunity, leading the field from the start to the end (left). Ladygin and Aydar Nuriev ran in second and third to complete the podium. These results meant that Kalmanovich and Bragin moved up into second and third in the standings, 23 and 24 points behind Ladygin respectively. Round 3 – Sunday 20 June, N-Ring 1. P.
