SPAIN THE GERMAN DRIVER BOWS ONLY TO THE LADIES: HIS SISTER MICHELLE IN NAVARRA AND ALBA CANO IN JARAMA MikeHalder stakes a claimonthetitle With four wins from the first six races of the new TCR Spain championship, Mike Halder has already staked a serious claim on the title. In both the events at Navarra (top) and Jarama, the German driver won Race 1 and Race 3 at the wheel of his Halder Motorsport Honda Civic Type R, settling for podium finishes in the second races. The only other drivers who have been able to claim victories were Mike’s sister and teammate Michelle in Navarra (above) and Monlau Competición’s Alba Cano in Jarama. While Michelle Halder’s win came with the help from her brother who protected her back to finish a close second, Cano drove her CUPRA Leon Competición to an authoritative lights-to-flag victory, resisting pressure from Isidro Callejas in the Peugeot 308 run by the Escuderia Costa Daurada (below).
