Kent (Essex & Kent Motorsport, Hyundai i30 N) LewisandBradleyarethepairtobeat THE KENTBROTHERSTOPTHE STANDINGSAFTERTHERACESATCASTLECOMBEANDBRANDSHATCH Essex & Kent Motorsport teammates Lewis and Bradley Kent have moved to the top of the TCR UK standings after the season’s second and third events. In his rookie year, Bradley has already claimed two wins in Castle Combe’s Race 1 and Brands Hatch’s Race 2 (below). And his points haul could have been much higher without a collision with a competitor from another class that eliminated him from the lead in the first race at Brands. His older brother and reigning champion Lewis (above) is showing great consistency. He jointly led the championship with Max Hart after the season opener at Silverstone, but five podium results in the latest two events – including victory in Race 2 at Brands – helped him to build a 50-point lead ahead of his brother. Besides the Kents, Darelle Wilson and Dan Kirby emerged as surprised ‘accidental’ winners. Wilson scored his and Vauxhall’s maiden TCR UK victory in Castle Combe’s Race 1 (top), thanks to penalties imposed on Hart and Jac Constable who had finished ahead of him. As for Kirby, he won Race 1 at Brands Hatch starting from P10 after the drivers at front were eliminated in a series of incidents.
