This time, however, the front row pair

struck back and Borkovi

ć

quickly

took the lead. The Alfa Romeo is a lot

harder on its tyres than the other

TCR

cars and so once Borkovi

ć

had opened up a gap, it then became

a matter of managing the tyre wear

until the Serbian driver could cross

the line and take his first – and the

Alfa’s second – TCR victory. Lukoil

Craft-Bamboo again had two drivers

on the podium, but this time it was

James Nash who finished second

ahead of Valente.

After the first four races of the

season, the top three drivers are

separated by only two points:

Jean-Karl Vernay leads the Drivers’

series from Dušan Borkovi

ć

with

Roberto Colciago third.

The International Series now faces a

streak of five European events: Spa in

Belgium, Monza in Italy, Salzburgring

in Austria, Budapest in Hungary and

Oschersleben in Germany.
