ALPS
and
Clio
Fast Lane Promotion has published the dates of the new F.Renault
2.0 ALPS season. The calendar, which has reverted to being an
international competition, includes numerous interesting
innovations, in addition to several important confirmations. In fact,
the championship will take in the
Grand Prix de Pau on the historic
French street circuit at the foot of the
Pyrenees, as well as the Austrian leg,
on the Red Bull Ring in Spielberg,
which will also be playing host to the
Formula 1 GP again next year. The
confirmed dates include the weekend
of the 8th June in Spa, which has
become a “classic” date on the
Renault mono-marque circuit. The
season starts in April at Imola, one of numerous Italian dates that
also include Monza and Mugello. But the real “new-entry” this year
is Jerez, in Spain, which will be hosting the Formula Renault 2.0
ALPS circus at the beginning of October.
The following are the dates for the 2014 edition of the Clio Cup
Italia, which will see the debut of the new Clio RS 1.6 Turbo,
already the star of this year’s Eurocup Clio. The upcoming season
kicks off in Imola on 6th April. This will be followed by a stop in
Austria where the little French supercar will be competing on the
famous Red Bull Ring on 25th May, the
only round of this year's Fast Lane
Promotion organised championship to
be held outside Italy.
The Temple of Speed at Monza (6th
July) will play host to the third round,
before the show moves onto the Misano
on the Adriatic Riviera on 20th July. After
the summer break, the drivers will be
starting their engines again in Mugello (7th September), while the
grand final is planned for the Vallelunga track in Rome on 26th
October. Six two-race meetings, to be held on top level race tracks
and with the promise of the exciting brand of racing we’ve come to
expect from the Clio Cup Italia.
