While the two opening rounds of the 24H Series at Dubai
and Mugello were won by Audi RS3 LMS cars, the 12H of
Red Bull Ring recorded Peugeot’s first ever TCR victory.
Although the 308 Racing Cup is not yet in full TCR specs –
Peugeot Sport’s kit will be launched by the end of the year
– Team Altran Peugeot claimed a 1-2 finish in the class
and its cars were classified 17th and 18th overall in the
Austrian race.
Guillaume Roman, Thierry Blaise and Kim Holmgaard
covered 369 laps, one more than their teammates Stéphane
Ventaja, Thierry Boyer and Michael Carlsen. The Speed
Factory Racing Audi RS3 LMS of Jesus Fuster, Miguel
Abello, Mirko van Oostrum and Jaime Fuster that had been
fastest in Qualifying took third place, 36 laps down after a
series of incidents that resulted in pit stops for repairs.
